Embrace Aging the Healthy Way

At the Central Jersey Medical Center we want you to age well as a natural part of life.


With age comes wisdom and new opportunities for taking the time to focus on your life and what you can do to feel good each day. Although there can be challenges that getting older brings, living a healthy lifestyle physically, mentally, and emotionally can help you to enjoy life to the fullest.


Physical Health is a Priority



The CJMC encourages you to stay active which is important as you age. Exercising on a regular basis helps maintain strength, flexibility, and balance, and can prevent falls and injuries.



Alternate your activities to include walking, swimming, yoga or tai chi and pair them with light weight strength training. By increasing your physical activity you can make a big difference in the way you feel.



Make sure you eat a balanced diet. Incorporate healthy foods into your meal plan that include fruits and vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins, plus healthy fats. Drinking plenty of water and limiting sugar, salt, and processed foods can contribute to heart health, digestion, and energy levels.



Mental and Emotional Well-Being Matter Too



Healthy aging isn’t just about the body it is also about your mental health. Keep your brain active and energized by reading, learning something new, or even trying a new hobby.



Emotional health is also an important part of aging. The CJMC encourages you to stay connected with family, friends, community groups, or volunteer work which can reduce the feeling of loneliness.


Regular Checkups


Routine medical care at the Central Jersey Medical Center is important for healthy aging. By scheduling your regular checkups, screenings, and vaccinations you can ward off possible health concerns and keep chronic conditions under control. Never wait until something feels wrong because being proactive is the key to staying healthy.


Keep a Positive Outlook


Aging well is also about how you view the aging process. A positive attitude and finding joy in life's little things can help you feel more confident and strong.
